Hooray for more snow!!!!

A white Christmas!!!! Seriously?!?!  I was definately excited to see 6 1/2 inches of snow the ground.  And equally more excited for Jackson to try his new sled that MawMaw and PopPop bought him for Christmas. (However, Jackson has landed himself with a case of walking pneumonia and has not been able to enjoy the snow)  Here are just a few pictures to share.

This is our pond now.  LOVIN' IT!!!

The hay rake in our front yard.

Another view of our front yard.

A close up of the snow on the willow oak in the back yard.

And up next...Christmas present time!!!

Santa Baby

This is a second attempt to snap a picture with Santa.  The first did not go well at all.  Believe it or not, this IS an improvement.  I was attempting to comfort him and completely missed Santa's face.  Luckily the elves were able to capture the two of them.  ( I would show that pic, but my printer is currently on the fritz, so no scanning)

Bless his heart!

We decided to combine the two, and this is what we come up with.  Our Santa Baby.

Merry Christmas!!!

Snow time

I am from a part of North Carolina that doesn't get much precipitation other than rain, so when we see a snow flake IT'S ON!!!  It snowed for about 2 or 3 hours and "stuck" on the ground for less than that time(wah..wah..) But my husband and I took advantage of this moment to capture our now 18 month old "playing."  Hope you enjoy!
This is our pond.  It was frozen over already so the snow quickly accumulated here.

Daddy and Jackson

Bless his heart, he could barely bend his knees.  Perhaps I went a little Christmas Story in dressing him for the snow?

Based on the smile on his face, I think he enjoyed playing in the snow.

Stay tuned, there will be Santa pictures to come.

My 1st blog!

I have been meaning to start a blog for quite some time.  A friend of mine turned me on to the idea after she created a blog.  By doing this she was able to share her trips with her hubby, her pregnancy, and now life with a growing toddler. I thought how great to be able to share this with my son as he grows and be able to look back .  I have also read a few more blogs sharing recipes, give-a-ways, and mommy eperiences/advice and am excited to jump on the boat!

I chose the name "Baby Knows Best"  This is the 2nd title I have had, I may do some tweaking on the title later.  Can't seem to find a catchy descriptor that best suits me.
